Grammar

Students practice grammar skills several times per week.  After first discussing the concept and reviewing examples, students have practice sentences for applying the new grammar concept.   The answers are reviewed aloud and questions are answered for clarification.  If students are not grasping the concept, alternative methods may be used, such as creating their own sentences on their desks and having them move around the room using each other’s sentences for practice.  Once they feel comfortable, the students complete an in-class assignment for a grade.  After a unit is complete, students will take a unit test worth 100 points.
